National Bank Online Banking Promise
In the unlikely event that you incur a loss from Online Banking fraud, we'll reimburse
you the full amount of any unauthorised transaction (provided of course that you
are not involved in the fraud and act within our Conditions of Use). Our promise
means you can bank online with confidence.
What to do if you receive a suspicious email
If you receive an email that you think is fraudulent (for example, a 'phishing'
email that pretends to come from the Bank and asks you to click on a link that takes
you to a fake website that looks like the Banks Online Banking logon page), please
send it to us following the steps below. Our security staff will investigate and
take action to shut down the scam if required.
- Save the file to a location of your choice.
- Compose a new email and attach the file you have just saved.
- Send the email to us at the following address:
emailalerts@nbnz.co.nz
- Delete the saved file. Delete the email from your inbox
and deleted items folder.
