Term Deposits
Enjoy the certainty of a fixed return at a competitive rate.
OverviewRates & FeesApply
National Bank Term Deposits combine competitive returns with peace of mind.
You'll benefit from the certainty of knowing what your return will be, with an interest
rate that's locked-in regardless of movements in the market.
Terms range from 30 days to five years ($5,000 minimum investment).
Competitive interest rates are based on the amount and term of your investment.
Interest is calculated daily
and can be paid into a nominated New Zealand bank account or compounded.
Choose from a range of interest payment options to suit your needs. Interest can be:
- Paid (monthly, quarterly, six monthly, annually or at maturity) or compounded
(quarterly, six monthly or annually) for terms of 180 days or more (unless otherwise specified)
- Paid on maturity only for terms less than 180 days.
We will advise you before your Term Deposit is due to mature. On maturity you can:
- Add money to your deposit and reinvest
- Withdraw part of your funds and reinvest the balance
- Have the entire principal plus interest paid to any nominated
New Zealand bank account
- Re-invest the whole amount for another term.
