How to Apply

There are several ways you can apply for a personal loan or get more information. You can:

  • Call 0800 185 185 to discuss your needs or to make an appointment with a lending specialist at a branch. You may be able to apply for your loan over the phone, without having to come in to see us
  • Contact your nearest branch
  • E-mail us to order a brochure or have a banking consultant contact you
  • Apply online by completing and submitting a Loan Application
  • Browse or print an application form.  If you’re under 18, a non-resident or a business customer, please call 0800 185 185.

What you need when you apply

If you’re applying for a personal loan, you need to have this information:

  • Your bank account details
  • Details of your current financial position e.g. existing mortgage/loan details, hire purchase commitments, valuations of major assets etc.
  • Evidence of your income. It can be a recent pay slip, a letter from your employer (on letterhead), IRD return, rental appraisal, copy of tenancy agreements or your annual accounts for the last three years if you’re self-employed.

How long does it take?

If you can provide all the details including evidence of your income, we may be able to approve your loan immediately, or at least provide conditional approval.
