OverviewRates & FeesDetailsOpen an account
National Bank Select combines the convenience of an everyday account, with the added benefit of earning a competitive rate of interest.
- You have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to your account, including ATMs, EFTPOS, Mobile Phone Banking, Online Banking, Touchtone Phone Banking, automatic payments, direct debits and cheques
- So long as your average daily balance is $5,000 or more, you will earn competitive interest rates on every dollar in your account
- Higher balances earn higher interest rates
- Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly
- You pay no account or transaction fees if your average daily balance for the month is $5,000 or more. If your balance falls below the threshold you'll pay a $15 flat fee.
- As it may take time to organise your investments or transfer funds, if you open an account with a balance lower than $5,000 we will waive the fee for the first month. This fee waiver only applies to the first calendar month in which you open the account. It does not apply to product transfers on existing National Bank accounts.
- Apply online for a National Bank Select Account.
If you're an existing National Bank Online Banking customer, you can open an account through Online Banking.
