Secure Sentinel
Secure Sentinel is a loss assistance and retrieval service that helps reduce the
risk of fraudulent use of your credit cards, debit cards and mobile phones. Secure
Sentinel also helps you to protect and retrieve your personal possessions. All customers
can be protected by Secure Sentinel from as little as $59 a year for individuals
or $79 a year for families.
What are the features & benefits of SecurePlusTM?
- Financial Cards: Secure Sentinel will cancel lost or stolen registered financial cards including credit, debit and ATM cards, and assist in arranging for replacements to be reissued.
- Mobile Phones: If your registered mobile phone is lost or stolen, Secure Sentinel will place a temporary block on it to prevent unauthorised calls being made.
- Keys: You’ll receive coded key tags so that lost keys can be returned if found.
- Passports: Secure Sentinel will assist with the cancellation and reissue of your lost New Zealand passport, and remind you when any passport you hold is due for renewal.
- Emergency Cash Advance: In the event of loss or theft, if you are eligible Secure Sentinel will quickly provide an emergency cash advance of up to NZ$1,000* via Western Union.
- Important Documents & Possessions: You can register all your important documents and possessions with SecurePlusTM and it will be kept safe until it's needed such as for a police or insurance report.
- Luggage: You’ll receive SecurePlusTM Luggage tags which will alert anyone, anywhere in the world who finds your bags to call Secure Sentinel immediately.
- Fraud Deterrent Labels: You can place attention-grabbing labels on important items to help deter theft and assist in returning the item should it be found.
- Online Vault: You can safely upload and store copies of important documents such as certificates, passports and wills, and retrieve them from anywhere in the world.
- Change of Address service: Secure Sentinel can inform participating service providers if you change address.
- IdentityGuard: Secure Sentinel will provide you with up to $10,000 cover per annum to assist you in restoring your identity.
- Global Assistance: You can reach Secure Sentinel 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via their Australian-based customer support centre. Secure Sentinel’s specially trained staff are always ready to assist.
How much does it cost?
SecurePlusTM is provided as part of our service for all National Bank Platinum Visa customers. All other National Bank customers can enjoy the advantages of SecurePlusTM protection for:
- Individual membership: $59 per year
- Household membership (up to 10 people living at the same residential address): $79 per year
