Donate to the Canterbury Earthquake Appeal

Donation to relief fund and support for affected customers and staff

Our Earthquake Appeal Account now totals more than $6 million since the February quake, which includes a record $335,000 donated by staff members of The National Bank and ANZ.

Staff donations have been matched dollar for dollar by the bank and this will continue. The $6 million figure is in addition to ANZ New Zealand’s initial $2 million donation to the relief efforts since September.

The amount is believed to be the most money ever raised in an appeal account at the bank.

All proceeds of the appeal fund will go directly to NZ Red Cross to help Canterbury's disaster response.

People can continue to make donations to the Canterbury Earthquake Appeal either at any branch of The National Bank (account number: 06-0869-0548507-00), or ANZ Branch (account number: 01-1839-0188939-00) or at or via internet banking.
